Kristina Scalesi

Kristina graduated Molloy College with an education degree and currently teaches in Far Rockaway, New York. She's known as one of the most energetic choreographers on Long Island. Kristina has been teaching at various dance schools on Long Island for six years; she has been teaching with Jaime Lynn since 2001. Her classes are a combination of street jazz, funk, breaking, house, and hip-hop. Her energy and personality are sure to keep everyone in the class entertained, as well as excited to learn. She has been a back-up dancer for various artists performing at Jay Z's 4040 club, the Jacob Javits Center Car Show, Nassau Coliseum, on MTV's hit show Direct Effect, Madison Square Garden and more, touring both New York City and Long Island as the opportunities arise.

Born and raised on Long Island, Kristina Scalesi began dancing at the age of two, and continued to train for thirteen years in jazz, tap, hip-hop and some ballet. Kristina was a student teacher for three years, and began teaching at the age of eighteen. However, even though Kristina enjoys teaching, she plans on being a student forever. Kristina still trains on her free time, only now her training is in Break dancing, House dancing, Funk, and Hip-hop. Kristina states, "In order to be the best teacher I can be, I believe it is important to continue to take class and be up-to-date on my movements, and knowledge on the world of dancing. There is are so many genres of dancing that have become cultures, and it is my duty as a teacher to educate my students, and give them a taste and education on all different cultures through the art form of dancing."

Recently, Kristina has successfully completed the NCA cheer coaches program, and has brought her exciting, classy, professional style to the Kew Forest School, founding the first Jaguar's Cheerleading squad. She's a truly talented professional that loves teaching dance, coaching cheerleading, and making people smile.
